Earlier this month, we heard from Shan Man, popular DJ for 98KUPD on what it is like to be a radio personality in this age of rapidly changing technology. On the flip side, Paul Talbot, Vice President of Sales/Marketing for Sporting News Radio, believes this climate offers a lot of opportunity for distribution and content creation that haven’t been explored.
In his talk, ‘Creating Radio Content: When Audio Goes Everywhere’. Talbot will share the adventures of a Scottsdale-based company expanding its content distribution from radio transmitters to any device that plays audio. He will discuss what makes great audio, and why he believes audio is an underutilized digital tool.
“We know a lot about producing content, and we know there is much to learn about distributing it,” said Talbot. “The more time we spend learning about this stuff, which fascinates us, the better.”
His company, Mission Media Group, produces and distributes spoken word audio content. Their flagship product is Sporting News Radio, which reaches more than five million listeners every week.
