Times certainly are a changin’, and non-profits haven’t quite caught up yet. It’s well past time to give them the tools to succeed, and share what the technology world has to offer.

WordCamp Phoenix has done just that. Their $500 donation to GangplankJr will provide technology training in the form of workshops and the FIRST LEGO League competition. WordCamp Phoenix is also hosting a kids’ WordPress event on Sunday, January 30, is a much needed step in bringing in a wider variety of fascinating thinkers.

WCPhx didn’t stop there. They’re also offering training for non-profits on how to maximize their social media presence, presenting on how to organize a conference with a community focus and has teamed up with local design groups to honor exemplary WordPress design. Their agenda is chock full of both free and paid events – included with the $35 admission.

The learnin’ and the fun of WordCamp Phoenix will take place January 26-30, 2011. Limited tickets are left!
