When we chose to move to downtown Chandler last year we listed several things we were looking for in a new home. We boldly stated:
“It is imperative that wherever we land that we find a city that is looking for community involvement. A city that wants to work with us and not against us in working towards a new economy. A community that understands that the future is changing and is willing to help bridge talent gaps. We want a home that embraces the 3 T’s… Talent, Tolerance and Technology.”
Mayor Jay Tibshraeny has stepped right in where Boyd Dunn left off, announcing a $5 billion expansion to Intel and the opening of Paypal in Chandler. He has started strengthening neighborhoods by strongly supporting the Neighborhood Advisory Committee (NAC) and organizing a listening tour for citizen feedback. Jay has created a Traditional Neighborhood Academy to compliment the HOA Academy.
Furthermore, he refuses to sit by idly and let the recession define the Chandler economy. Jay has setup Chandler Career Connect on Tuesday, March 29th from 4pm to 9pm at the Chandler Center for the Arts to connect employers and applicants. If you are looking for a job or need have a job filled please consider participating.
Mayor Tibshraeny, we are happy to see your boldness and commitment to strengthening Chandler. We look forward to help making this the place where the creative class grows up!

Not only does volunteering provide a great opportunity for networking but keeping proactive helps job seekers stay positive mentally, and most importantly, shows prospective employers you are a go-getter and not to just wait for the next job to land in your lap.
