UPDATE 7/22 – With current donations, we’ve been able to fill 26 backpacks. We are still in need of the following (in order by most desired):

Time again for the Gangplank Jr School Supply Drive. Last year we donated 44 FULL backpacks to low-income students in the Chandler Unified School District.

Not only do we intend to top that this year, we’ve added high school supplies to the mix to reach a wider range of students. All you need to do is drop off said supplies at a participating Locations (see below). Deadline is Friday, August 5th to drop off your supplies.

Can’t make it to the store? You can also buy a fully-stocked backpack and ship it to us from the comfort of your home! Walmart has school supply kits all set up for you. You can order and ship to 260 S Arizona Ave, Chandler, AZ 85225.

Here’s some of the suggested items. Feel free to use your imagination:
- Backpacks
- art supplies (scissors, glue, crayons, markers, colored pencils, construction paper)
- pencils, pens, highlighters, erasers, pencil bag
- student organizers/calendar books
- Binders, folders, notebooks
- Ruled paper, graph paper, printer paper
- Calculators (regular and graphing)
- gym clothes (for high school students; socks, t-shirts, shorts)
- fun stuff (stickers, keychains, lunch boxes, book covers)
