Welcoming First Board Member

This past month, Gangplank Collective completed our 501(c)(3) paperwork and is in process to become a federal nonprofit. As part of this process, co-founders Derek Neighbors and Jade Meskill began selecting individuals to become a part of our new nonprofit’s inaugural board. We are fortunate at Gangplank to have high levels of involvement from our anchors and participants. We knew that candidates would need to respect the voice of those parties, while being able to provide an outsider’s perspective on Gangplank’s operations and vision. Not to mention, these first few board members will help forge the path for board members to come.

We are very excited to announce Greg Head as our first board member – a man who has advised and mentored this organization over the last several years.

“I’m honored to be elected as a Gangplank board member,” said Greg Head. “Gangplank is an incredible collaborative creation place that has grown enormously in the last two years. I look forward to helping the team continue the growth.”

Greg Head is the founder of New Avenue, a consultancy that helps CEOs of growing technology companies to create successful marketing and growth strategies for their businesses. In the last 20 years, Greg has helped grow two software startups into successful businesses and global brands – ACT! and SalesLogix. He lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he advises and invests in promising technology companies.

Additionally, Greg hosts office hours as part of our mentoring program, with specialties in Early Stage development and Marketing.
